Publishing Procedure

  1. Submit Book Proposal
    A representative will respond to your inquiry in about a week. Send us your manuscript if requested. If your manuscript is selected you will have the option of publishing it with BrownWalker or one of our associated imprints.
  2. Format Manuscript. Submit it Microsoft Word or PDF Format. Although you may submit a draft for review, it is vital that your manuscript be in sound editorial shape when you submit the final revision for publication. All copy editing should be complete. We refer some authors to a typesetter or graphic designer for complicated layouts.

    Combine your manuscript into a single computer file. Place all your graphics and format exactly thew way it should appear in print. Save in a popular PC word processing program (or Adobe PDF format and save $100).
  3. Sign and Submit Publishing Agreement
  4. Complete Submission Form electronically
  5. Cover art design. Think about how you want the book cover to look. Have your own designer prepare the cover art according to our cover art specifications, or let our graphic designer do it for you ($100).
  6. Authorize Publishing Fee ($495).
  7. Review & approve electronic proof edition Once the final manuscript is accepted and the submission is complete the publishing process can begin. The ebook and cover layout are posted for author approval about 4 weeks after we receive all the materials, depending on how well your manuscript is prepared.
  8. Upon approval of the electronic edition, the manuscript files are sent to reproduction and distribution facilities in the US and UK. Promotion can begin when you see your book listed as available at Amazon.com (usually about 9 weeks from the initial submission).
  9. Collect quarterly royalties as books are sold.
