About the Author

Lewis Diuguid is the author of A Teacher's Cry: Expose the Truth About Education Today. He has been a journalist for more than 30 years and serves as vice president for community resources at The Kansas City Star. He has been involved in the newspaper's diversity initiative since its inception in 1993. He writes columns for The Star often focusing on diversity issues. Diuguid is a certified diversity facilitator.
